The Holyrood Embra Peated is a distinctive Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Holyrood Distillery in Edinburgh, known for its innovative approach to whisky production. Since its establishment in 2019, the distillery has blended traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques. Embra Peated is the distillery's second single malt release, produced in the vibrant Southside district of Edinburgh.

This whisky is distilled from a mix of chocolate malt and heavily peated malt, and matures in three different types of casks: First Fill Bourbon barrels, Islay Quarter Casks, and new American oak barrels.

This combination results in a balanced flavor profile with bold smoky notes and subtle sweet undertones, making the whisky accessible even to newcomers to the world of peated whiskies.

With an alcohol content of 43.6%, Embra Peated offers intense tasting experiences including lemon zest, dark chocolate mousse, and light Highland peat smoke, culminating in a clean finish with gentle notes of stewed pears.

The label of Embra Peated is inspired by lino-cut representations of Saint Leonard, the patron saint of barrel makers, reflecting the distillery's deep connection to its location and history.
