DESCRIPTION

Craigellachie ist ein Urgestein der Speyside und dennoch alles andere als ein typischer Speyside-Whisky. Sein fruchtiger, kraftvoller Geschmack ist auf die Verwendung von Worm-Tub-Kondensatoren zurückzuführen. Craigellachie ist eine von wenigen Brennereien, die noch mit dem traditionellen Verfahren zur Rückverflüssigung von Alkoholdampf arbeiten. Und: die einzige Brennerei in Schottland, die ihre Gerste während des Darrens im Mälzungsprozess mit Öl befeuert – für einen robusten Charakter.

Aus Craigellachies umfangreichem Fassbestand wählte Malt Master Stephanie MacLeod ein Fass aus, das den Brennerei-Charakter auf so geschmackvolle und bemerkenswerte Weise demonstriert, dass es einer Einzelfassabfüllung würdig ist.

Der Craigellachie 2007/2022 for Germany ist Teil der Exceptional Cask Series. Nach 15 Jahren im Oloroso Sherry Cask entfaltet der Single Malt Noten von gerösteten Marshmallows, karamellisierter Ananas und gebräuntem Getreide. Nur 372 Flaschen wurden aus dem andalusischen Fass abgefüllt.
