DESCRIPTION
The Wild Geese ist eine Whiskeymarke, die es seit 2005 gibt und die nach irischen Soldaten benannt ist, die nach dem Wilhelminischen Krieg in Irland im Jahr 1691 nach Frankreich gingen. Dieser Name wurde seitdem immer wieder für irische Soldaten verwendet, die in Übersee dienten.

Der Wild Geese Rare Irish Whiskey ist ein Blend aus in Bourbonfässern gereiften Whiskys. Seit seiner Veröffentlichung hat er viele Auszeichnungen erhalten, darunter eine sehr positive Rezension in Jim Murrays Whisky Bible.

TASTING NOTES

    Die Marke Wild Geese ist im Besitz der Avalon Group Inc. und ihr Sortiment an irischem Whiskey wurde im Mai 2012 eingeführt.

    Ihre Whiskys werden von der irischen Cooley Distillery nach einem, wie die Marke es nennt, "einzigartigen erweiterten doppelten Destillationsverfahren" hergestellt.

    Der Name der Marke leitet sich von einer alten irischen Bezeichnung für Soldaten ab, die als Söldner in kontinentalen Armeen dienten.
