Loch Lomond Inchmoan 12 wurde vom Master Blender Michael Henry zusammengestellt und zelebriert den weichen Charakter des Loch Lomond-Stils mit einer Kombination aus Whisky aus den einzigartigen Straight Neck Stills der Brennerei und den traditionelleren Swan Neck Stills.

Loch Lomond Inchmoan reifte in drei Arten von Fässern aus amerikanischer Eiche und unterstreicht den weichen Rauch mit zusätzlichen wärmenden Gewürzelementen.

Abgefüllt bei 46% und nicht kühlgefiltert, damit alles so bleibt, wie es die Natur vorgesehen hat.

TASTING NOTES
Nose Trockener, schwelender Torfrauch mit Vanillesirup und gebranntem schwarzen Pfeffer.
Palate Süßer, medizinischer Torf und geräucherter Speck führen zu gerösteten Kaffeebohnen mit Gewürznoten von Nelke und Sternanis. Wärmende Würze verbindet sich mit grünem Apfel und Birne, während sich der Fruchtcharakter entwickelt.
Finish Langer, wachsartiger Torf mit Zitrus-Hopfen-Note und Stachelbeere.

    The Loch Lomond Distillery is located in Alexandria, Scotland, and was founded in 1966. The distillery is known for its innovation and flexibility in whisky production. It uses both traditional pot stills and unique straight neck stills, allowing for a wide range of flavor profiles. The distillery produces single malt, single grain, and blended whiskies.

    Popular releases include the Loch Lomond 12 Year Old, Inchmurrin 12 Year Old, and Inchmoan 12 Year Old. These whiskies are characterized by fruity notes, sweet honey, and a hint of smoke, making them particularly versatile and accessible. The 18-year-old Loch Lomond is also highly regarded, offering a complex blend of ripe fruits, vanilla, and a slightly spicy note.

    Historically, the distillery was founded by Duncan Thomas and the American company Barton Brands. After several ownership changes and modernizations, it is now part of the Loch Lomond Group, which also includes the Glen Scotia Distillery. An interesting fact is that the Loch Lomond brand became known through the comic series "Tintin" by Hergé, although the brand mentioned in the series was independently invented and not related to the real distillery.
