DESCRIPTION
2013 verschwanden sie für immer aus der Speyside – die meisten Gebäude der Imperial Distillery. Seit dem ausgehenden 19. Jahrhundert, genauer gesagt dem Jahr von Queen Victorias Diamant-Jubiläum, dem die Brennerei ihren royalen Namen verdankt, hatten ihre roten Aberdeen-Ziegelsteine die Gegend geprägt. Nach rund 100-jähriger Existenz waren die Pot Stills 1998 zum letzten Mal in Betrieb.

Dieser Whisky braucht lange Zeit im Glas, um sich voll zu entfalten, belohnt aber diejenigen, die Geduld zeigen.

TASTING NOTES
Nose Leicht blumig mit Noten von warmem Honig und Vanillepudding entwickelt er sich zu Zitrusfrüchten und gepresstem Apfelsaft.
Palate Am Gaumen zeigt er zunächst spritzige grüne Früchte, gefolgt von köstlichen tropischen Aromen und sogar einem Hauch von Holzrauch und neuem Leder.
Finish Helle Fruchtnoten mit einer Andeutung von grünem Tee und ein wenig Eiche.
