DESCRIPTION

Der ElsBurn Wayfare Batch 003, Jahrgang 2023, steht exemplarisch für den deutschen Single Malt Whisky, der sich durch die Vielfalt der Fässer der Hammerschmiede Brennerei im Harz auszeichnet. Mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 58,2 % und einer Limitierung auf 3.840 Flaschen bietet dieser Whisky eine außergewöhnliche Geschmackstiefe.

Hergestellt aus regionalem Gerstenmalz, frischem Bergquellwasser aus dem Ort Zorge und reiner Kulturhefe, zeichnet sich der Whisky durch die doppelte Destillation in Pot Stills und die Reifung in Sherry-, Port-, Marsala-, Málaga- und Grand Cru Claret-Hogsheads über 4 bis 11 Jahre aus. Diese Fässer, die zuvor für Likör- und Süßwein verwendet wurden, tragen zu seinem charakteristischen Profil bei.

Das Aromenspektrum umfasst üppige Noten von Früchtekuchen und gebackenen Rosinen, ergänzt durch süße Beeren und Spekulatius, bis hin zu heller Karamellcreme. Geschmacklich ist er kräftig und samtig mit einer Vielfalt von Rosinenkeksen, süßen Trauben und kandierten Früchten, abgerundet durch Eichenaromen, helle Schokolade und eine markante Würze. Der mittellange Abgang ist geprägt von cremigen und fruchtigen Nuancen.
