DESCRIPTION

Mit der Gründung der Glasgow Distillery zog 2014 nach mehr als 100 Jahren wieder eine Whiskybrennerei in die schottische Hafenstadt ein. Heute ist die Glasgow Distillery eine von wenigen urbanen Brennereien Schottlands, die sich der Herstellung von Single Malt Whisky widmen. Und zwar unabhängig, innovativ, mit fünf kupfernen Pot Stills aus deutscher Herstellung und feinster schottischer Gerste.

Dass es ihr nachhaltig gelingt, ein neues Whiskykapitel in die Geschichte ihrer Heimatstadt zu brennen, beweist die Glasgow Distillery mit einer abwechslungsreichen und vielfach ausgezeichneten Core Range ebenso wie mit komplexen Single Casks.

Geräucherte Vanille, getrocknete Aprikosen, Espresso und üppige, geröstete Gewürze hat etwa das Glasgow 1770 Limited Edition Release mit Tokaji Finish zu bieten. Dafür wurde die Exklusivabfüllung in Tokajer-Fässern veredelt. Der traditionsreiche Süßwein aus hellen Trauben stammt aus Ungarn und der Slowakei.
