Whisky, der sich durch seine Reifung in First Fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry Quarter Casks auszeichnet. Dieser Whisky, destilliert am 20. Januar 2015 und abgefüllt am 18. September 2023, bietet ein reichhaltiges und komplexes Geschmacksprofil mit einer deutlichen Sherry-Note. Mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 53,9% und einer limitierten Abfüllung von nur 151 Flaschen, präsentiert er sich als ein exklusives Erlebnis für Whisky-Liebhaber.

Im Nosing finden sich fruchtige und aromatische Noten, die sich mit Schokolade und Rosinen mischen, ergänzt durch Kirschen, geröstete Nüsse und Torfrauch. Am Gaumen entfaltet sich ein würziges und vollmundiges Profil, das Geschmacksnoten von Kirschen, Beeren, Trockenfrüchten und Gewürzen vereint. Der Abgang ist langanhaltend und geprägt von Waldbeeren, Torfrauch und Eiche.

Whitlaw - Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Whitlaw ist der Name der Hügel hinter der Highland Park Destillerie, weshalb der Name Whitlaw regelmäßig als Pseudonym für die Marke verwendet wird.
Der Torf auf den Orkneys unterscheidet sich stark von dem auf dem Festland und besteht aus Moos und Heidekraut, was eher einen leichten Rauch erzeugt, der mit aromatischen und duftenden Noten verwoben ist.
Der Stil der Whitlaw Distillery ist ein süßer, honigartiger und würziger Malz, der recht fruchtig sein kann und einen langen, leicht rauchigen Abgang hat.
