DESCRIPTION

Dieser 25 Jahre alte Single Malt aus der Tobermory-Brennerei reifte ursprünglich in einem Refill-Bourbon-Hogshead, bevor er in ein First-Fill-Calvados-Fass umgefüllt und schließlich mit 50,1 % abgefüllt wurde.

TASTING NOTES
Nose Frische Atome von gelben Äpfeln und gelben Birnen, eine gute Schicht von Vanille, Backgewürz und ein Hauch von getoasteter Eiche.
Palate Komplex, mit gekochtem Apfel, reifer Aprikose, in Rum getränkten Sultaninen, Vanille, Honig und Walnuss.
Finish Süße gelbe Früchte, Zuckergerste, weißer Pfeffer. Langsam entwickelt sich die leichte, aber komplexe Aromenpalette, die in dieser Flasche steckt. Langanhaltende Raffinesse.

  • Tobermory - Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky

    Die Tobermory-Brennerei ist eine schottische Whisky-Brennerei auf der schottischen Hebrideninsel Mull in der Stadt Tobermory.

    Die Brennerei, die früher unter dem Namen Ledaig bekannt war, wurde 1798 gegründet und hat mehrmals den Besitzer gewechselt, nachdem sie mehrmals geschlossen worden war.

    Sie ist die einzige Brennerei auf Mull und befindet sich derzeit im Besitz von Burn Stewart Distillers, einer Tochtergesellschaft der Distell Group Limited aus Südafrika.

    Ihr Haupterzeugnis, Tobermory Single Malt, wird für die Mischungen Scottish Leader und Black Bottle verwendet.

    Die Brennerei stellt auch eine kleinere Menge an getorftem Whisky her, der weiterhin unter dem früheren Namen Ledaig bekannt ist.

    Die Produktion wurde 1990 aufgerüstet, so dass die Brennerei nun eine Million Liter Whisky pro Jahr herstellen kann. Sie verwendet einen traditionellen gusseisernen Maischebottich mit Kupferkuppel, vier Washbacks aus Oregon-Kiefer und vier Brennblasen.

    Der Whisky wird sowohl in ehemaligen Bourbon-Whiskey- als auch in Sherry-Fässern gereift. Die Reifung findet in der Brennerei in Deanston statt.

    Dràm Mòr, which means "Great Whisky" in Scottish Gaelic, is an independent spirits bottler based in Dumbarton, Scotland. Founded in 2019 by the husband-and-wife team Kenny and Viktorija Macdonald, Dràm Mòr draws on their extensive experience working for whisky companies and co-founding the Mòr Whisky Club. This background provides them with a deep understanding of quality spirits and the intricate aspects of the industry.

    Dràm Mòr is dedicated to delivering unique, high-quality spirits through their expert team and the selection of special casks. They take pride in their transparent approach to spirits, believing that everything that comes from a cask can be truly unique, extremely delicious, and most importantly, interesting. This commitment results in the daily selection and bottling of unique, wonderful, and fascinating products.

    The company's branding and label design have a distinctive touch, thanks to the collaboration with Lithuanian artist Iveta Šmidtaite, who designed the original mountain logo, and local Glasgow designer Joanne Smith, who handles brand development and marketing.

    Dràm Mòr is proud of its roots in the once highly influential town of Dumbarton, Scotland, with its historic whisky heritage. They are excited to bring this heritage back to Dumbarton and open a new chapter for the industry at this prominent location.
