DESCRIPTION

The Ballechin 10 y.o. Heavily Peated Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a special release from the Edradour Distillery, which has been producing heavily peated whiskies since 2003. This whisky is distilled from barley with a high peat content of at least 50 ppm (parts per million). After maturing for ten years in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, the Ballechin 10 y.o. offers a balanced mix of smoke, spice, and subtle sweetness.

The whisky is bottled at 46% ABV and is neither chill-filtered nor colored, preserving the natural flavors and authentic character of the cask. This release is ideal for lovers of heavily peated whiskies, offering a complex taste experience with notes of chocolate, oak, and smoky, earthy spices that play on the palate. The finish is reminiscent of burnt heather on the Scottish Highlands.
