The Waterford – Cuvée Koffi is an Irish Single Malt Whiskey that brings Waterford's philosophy to perfection. With a focus on origin, terroir, and transparency, Waterford sets new standards in the whisky world. Developed by Mark Reynier and his team, The Waterford – Cuvée Koffi marks the beginning of the distillery's core range.

This single malt whiskey is the oldest and most complex expression from Waterford to date. It consists of 24 individual Single Farm Origin whiskies that have matured for at least six years in various cask types, ranging from bourbon to Amarone casks. This variety gives the whisky its depth and complexity. United by Head Distiller Ned Gahan as a cuvée, it creates a whisky that is more than the sum of its parts. This is confirmed by numerous awards, including double gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

The flavor profile of The Waterford – Cuvée Koffi is rich and complex. The combination of 36% first fill bourbon barrels, 26% Vin Doux Naturel casks (Oloroso, Moscatel, Amarone), 21% premium French oak casks (including Château Mouton Rothschild and Château Lafitte) as well as 17% virgin American oak casks creates a complex aroma profile. With notes of sweet fruits, spices, and a hint of oak, this whisky offers an intense and yet balanced tasting experience.

With an alcohol content of 50% ABV, The Waterford – Cuvée Koffi is non-chill filtered and uncolored, preserving its natural aromas and texture. The label of the whiskey is adorned with the vibrant artwork of French artist Nathanaël Koffi, reflecting the versatility and multifaceted nature of this whiskey.
