Der im Februar 2017 eingeführte Minor Case Rye ist der Flaggschiff-Roggenwhiskey der Limestone Branch Distillery in Lebanon, KY. Eine weitere historische Marke für die Brennerei, die das Vermächtnis von Paul und Steve Beams Urgroßvater Minor Case Beam würdigt, dessen Spezialität der Roggenwhiskey aus der gleichnamigen Destillerie war.

Dieser Rye Whiskey wird 2 Jahre lang gelagert, bevor er sein Finish für 6 Monate in Sherryfässern erhält.

Tatsächlich scheint Minor Case Rye der einzige Roggenwhiskey zu sein, der ausschließlich in US-amerikanischen Sherryfässern veredelt wird, und das ist zweifellos der Grund, warum er sich sowohl von den Konkurrenten in der Kategorie der Roggenwhiskeys als auch von den kleineren Roggenwhiskeys mit Sherry-Finish unterscheidet.

    The Limestone Branch Distillery performs every step of the whiskey-making process without automation and uses the same yeast strain from Guy Beam and Minor Case, the ancestors of Steve and Paul Beam.
