Dieser sorgfältig vom Master Distiller in kleinen Chargen kreierte Glencadam Reserva PX beginnt seine Reise in außergewöhnlichen, ehemaligen Bourbon-Eichenfässern aus Amerika, die in den historischen Dunnage-Lagern von Glencadam gelagert werden.

Diese erste Reifung verleiht dem Whisky eine grundlegende Komplexität und Tiefe. Die Reise geht weiter, indem der Whisky fachmännisch verheiratet wird und dann eine letzte, entscheidende Reifungsphase in handverlesenen Pedro Ximénez Sherryfässern durchläuft.

Dieser Veredelungsprozess in Pedro Ximénez Sherryfässern verleiht dem Glencadam Reserva PX seinen charakteristischen Charakter. Die Fässer infundieren den Whisky mit reichen, süßen und komplexen Aromen und schaffen so eine harmonische Balance, die ihm prestigeträchtige Anerkennung eingebracht hat.

Nose Reichhaltige Aromen von Weihnachtspudding, getrockneten Feigen und Zartbitterschokolade in Verbindung mit Zedernholz und Gewürznelken.
Palate Süße Schichten von Ahornsirup, Sirupbonbons und Pflaumen vermischt mit Maraschino-Kirschen, Brandy-Butter und Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte.
Finish Wärmende Eindrücke von Asche-Toffee, Obstkuchen und kristallisiertem Ingwer, die in Kirschkonfitüre und Espresso-Kaffee münden.

  • Glencadam - Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

    The Glencadam Distillery is a distillery in Brechin, Angus, Scotland, is owned by Angus Dundee plc and produces a malt whisky. The rest of the production is sold to blenders or used within Angus Dundee for the production of blended whisky brands.

    Glencadam was mothballed during both World Wars. The warehouses were instead used as barracks for soldiers. On the lawn next to Warehouse No. 2, the spot where the commissariats were located can still be seen.

    Glencadam was acquired by Hiram Walker in the 1950s, which later became Allied Domeq, closing the distillery in 2000.

    Glencadam Single Malt has always been a premium whisky for blending and, as such, was highly sought after for some of the world's most prestigious blends.

    On June 1, 2003, Glencadam was finally purchased by Angus Dundee Distillers, an independent Scottish company. Angus Dundee immediately resumed production, and in December 2005, we launched our first single malt product, Glencadam Single Malt Scotch Whisky Aged 15 Years. This whisky was introduced in November 2009 with new packaging and a 10-year-old bottling.
