Loch Lomond 12 Jahre Single Malt ist eine perfekte Repräsentation des charakteristischen Stils der Destillerie. Er bietet köstliche Noten von Pfirsich und Birne, die sich mit der Süße von Vanille und einem sanften Hauch von Rauch im Abgang verbinden.

Loch Lomond 12 year old wird im Schatten des Ben Lomond in den einzigartigen Straight Neck Stills und den traditionelleren Swan Neck Stills der Brennerei hergestellt, bevor er in drei verschiedenen amerikanischen Eichenfässern reift - Bourbon, Refill und Re-Charred.

Abgefüllt bei 46% und nicht kühlgefiltert, damit alles so bleibt, wie es die Natur vorgesehen hat. Dieser perfekt ausbalancierte Ausdruck wurde von Michael Henry, dem Master Blender, zusammengestellt, dessen Unterschrift auf jeder Flasche eine persönliche Qualitätsgarantie darstellt.

TASTING NOTES
Nose Knackiger grüner Apfel, reife Birne und erfrischende Zitrusfrüchte mit Noten von goldenem Getreide im Hintergrund.
Palate Obstgartenfrüchte und Zitronenbaiser. Der tiefgründige Fruchtcharakter der Birne geht über in Zitronenzitrone, Vanille-Baiser und leichte Biskuit-Süße.
Finish Mittellang mit sanftem Holzrauch und einem anhaltenden Geschmack.

    The Loch Lomond Distillery is located in Alexandria, Scotland, and was founded in 1966. The distillery is known for its innovation and flexibility in whisky production. It uses both traditional pot stills and unique straight neck stills, allowing for a wide range of flavor profiles. The distillery produces single malt, single grain, and blended whiskies.

    Popular releases include the Loch Lomond 12 Year Old, Inchmurrin 12 Year Old, and Inchmoan 12 Year Old. These whiskies are characterized by fruity notes, sweet honey, and a hint of smoke, making them particularly versatile and accessible. The 18-year-old Loch Lomond is also highly regarded, offering a complex blend of ripe fruits, vanilla, and a slightly spicy note.

    Historically, the distillery was founded by Duncan Thomas and the American company Barton Brands. After several ownership changes and modernizations, it is now part of the Loch Lomond Group, which also includes the Glen Scotia Distillery. An interesting fact is that the Loch Lomond brand became known through the comic series "Tintin" by Hergé, although the brand mentioned in the series was independently invented and not related to the real distillery.
