DESCRIPTION

Dr. Bill, Glenmorangie’s Direktor für Whiskykreation, wurde mit einer Vorliebe für Abenteuer geboren. Und mit diesem Single Malt wollte er einen Whisky kreieren, der so unberechenbar ist wie seine Reisen.

Quinta Ruban ist eine Whisky-Reise in die Wildnis - ein dunkler und köstlicher Wald, in dem der Wind mit Pfefferminzböen pfeift und dunkle Schokoladenwirbel jeden Moment passieren können.

In giraffenhohen Destillierapparaten beginnt er weich und fruchtig, wird dann dunkler und tiefer, während wir ihn 14 Jahre lang in Bourbonfässern und Portweinfässern aus Portugal reifen lassen.

Der fertige Whisky ist ein Dickicht aus üppigen Geschmackskombinationen. Walnuss und schwarzer Pfeffer. Mandarine und geschmolzener Marshmallow. Zartbitterschokolade und Pfefferminz. Und wie der Schritt in eine unbekannte Schokoladen-Minze-Orange-Welt ist die Reise so köstlich wie das Ziel.

TASTING NOTES

Nose	Dunkle Minzschokolade und Sevilla-Orangen vermischen sich mit Sandelholz und Walnuss, mit einem würzigen Abgang aus Pfeffer und Muskatnuss.
Palate	Minzschokolade und Walnüsse umhüllen den Gaumen und bilden die Grundlage für Rose, türkischen Genuss und süße Sevilla-Orangen.
Finish	Der lang anhaltende, seidige Nachgeschmack hinterlässt dunkle Minzschokolade und Spuren von Orangen.

Glenmorangie - Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
The Glenmorangie Distillery, located in the Scottish Highlands, is one of the most well-known and renowned single malt Scotch whisky distilleries in the world. The distillery is situated near the town of Tain in Ross-shire and was founded in 1843. Today, Glenmorangie is part of Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH), one of the world's leading luxury goods conglomerates.
Glenmorangie was established in 1843 by William Matheson, who utilized the former buildings of a brewery for whisky distillation. Since its inception, the distillery has continuously evolved and modernized to produce high-quality whisky. In 1918, Glenmorangie was acquired by the Macdonald & Muir family, who managed the distillery for several generations.
A unique feature of Glenmorangie is the height of its stills. At 8 meters tall, the highest in Scotland, they contribute to the production of an exceptionally pure and light distillate. This allows only the purest vapors to condense and be processed into a fine whisky. Glenmorangie also exclusively uses natural ingredients, including barley and water from the Tarlogie Springs, known for their purity.
Maturation plays a central role in the production of Glenmorangie whisky. The distillery is renowned for its expertise in cask management and uses a variety of casks to create complex and layered flavors. The cask types include ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak, carefully selected and specially crafted for Glenmorangie. Additionally, the distillery experiments with different cask types such as sherry, port, and wine casks to create special finishes.
The Glenmorangie range includes a wide array of single malt whiskies known for their versatility and quality.
